Why WATSON GROUP?
We believe very strongly that our value comes from our experience, and our curiosity. What do we mean by that? Well, our trusted delivery comes from being truly consultative, providing expert advice and supporting our clients with the relevant services and solutions which deliver the desired result. Our detailed process is designed to explore, define and understand the required outcome. Finding the right people is a complex task, and be they internal (often overlooked!) or external, our experience allows us to tailor the most effective and efficient solutions, whatever the situation. Use only what's needed, enjoy the best outcome and build long term, trusted relationships.
Who are we?
The Watson Group has grown out of 30+ years of building Recruitment and Consulting businesses by our founder, Gary "DoC" Watson. Starting out in Scotland and finally arriving in Australia in 2011 and based out of Melbourne, he brought a fresh outlook and approach to the market, with a particular focus on the regions (which he feels are too often overlooked). From a career which started out in the sports industry (skiing and windsurfing) then Construction in Scotland, the Consulting path has taken him across the UK and Europe, expanding into the Middle East and South Africa, as well as Asia and the US. He doesn't think he's seen it all, however admits to having seen "a lot"! With a close team of trusted specialist consultants - covering Recruitment and HR and built over the journey, we're well placed to deliver, wherever the need arises. Oh, and why the nickname "DoC"? (a) Director of Consulting (he thinks he's a comedian as well...)
Why we started the WATSON GROUP
Good question! It's about service and quality, honesty and integrity. The purpose of the business is not to be the biggest, but to be the best partner we can be for our clients. That means being inquisitive, exploratory, insightful and most importantly to deliver on what we say. Oh, and - on occasion - being blunt. As true consultants and experts in our fields, we do tell it like it is, even if that's uncomfortable! Understanding the dynamic, the marketplace, the unique atmosphere of each and every client is a critical element of what we do, and it's among the most enjoyable. Assisting our clients with their challenges, and working with them to develop and adapt in todays very agile business world is incredible and that's why we do what we do!
